Ben brings a rare combination of hands-on construction experience and deep surety expertise to clients ranging from local contractors to global commercial enterprises. His career began in his family’s underground construction business, where he learned the industry from the ground up—operating equipment in the field and later working in the accounting department. This practical foundation gives him a unique perspective that resonates with business owners at every level.

After earning a degree in Business & Leadership from the University of Puget Sound, Ben began his surety career as an Underwriter at Travelers Bond. There, he worked with some of the most complex construction operations across the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, and Northern California, gaining insight into what top-performing companies need to stay competitive and financially secure.

He later took on a brokerage role, managing a diverse client portfolio and building a reputation as a strategic partner and forming long-term partnerships. Today, as a Partner at CSBA, Ben supports companies nationwide and internationally, helping them navigate everything from day-to-day bonding needs to large-scale financial strategies.

Ben advises businesses in a wide range of industries, including construction trades, manufacturing, renewable energy, mining, facility services, environmental sectors, private equity, and banking.
